Why is vehicle maintenance so important?
Putting gas in the tank and checking the oil are just the beginning of proper car maintenance. Your car is an major investment that you will want to protect with regular scheduled maintenance. Effects of improper maintenance can range from being stranded alongside the road or even up to encountering a potentially lethal safety concern

What can proper vehicle maintenance prevent?
Keeping a regular maintenance schedule for your vehicle will help fight component friction, maintain proper fluid levels and safeguard you out on the road with driving accessories that are functioning properly.

Why is changing the oil in my vehicle so important?
Changing your vehicle's engine oil is vital to your engine's performance and longevity. Engine oil's primary purpose is to reduce friction in the internal components of your vehicle's engine, increasing the life span of all the moving parts. It also helps cool the engine by dissipating heat as it circulates through the engine itself, and on some vehicles, through the oil cooler. Its third purpose is to clean the engine. It picks up and carries small pieces of debris and delivers them to the oil filter where they get trapped and removed when the filter is changed.

How often should you change your oil?
Again, that depends on your vehicle. Older vehicles using conventional oil, I still recommend every 3,000 miles or 3 months. For vehicles with non-conventional oil, I recommend following the manufacturer's guidelines. Many newer vehicles have maintenance lights and/or information centers that keep track of when you should get your vehicle in for service.
