Billy Ray Cyrus has teamed up with Aerosmith's Joe Perry for a cover of Don Williams' classic track "Tulsa Time."

Cyrus and Perry took Williams' hit and modernized it: They added heavier instrumentals and gave the track an Aerosmith-esque feel with a high harmony, sung by Cyrus throughout the song. Readers can press play on the video above to hear their "Tulsa Time" collaboration.

"Tulsa Time" is one of 15 tracks on Cyrus' upcoming album, Thin Line, which features collaborations with a number of artists from across genres. The first single off the project, "Hey Elvis," was created with Bryan Adams and Glenn Hughes, the former singer for Deep Purple. Shelby Lynne, Shooter Jennings, Lee Roy Parnell and more also lend a hand on the album.

Thin Line features covers of “Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I’ll Ever Do Again),” “My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys,” “Sunday Morning Coming Down,” “I’ve Always Been Crazy” and more; a complete track listing can be seen here. The project is set for release on Sept. 9 via Blue Cadillac Music.

In addition to his forthcoming new record, Cyrus is currently starring in a new CMT TV show, Still the King, which premiered in June. The show isn't Cyrus’ first stint on television: He’s been acting since 1999, and in those 15-plus years, he’s appeared on The Love Boat: The Next Wave, played Dr. Clint Cassidy on Doc and starred in daughter Miley‘s Disney Channel show Hannah Montana.
