America On Tap is an awesome beer festival, but it's so much more than that. Sure, there'll be a ton of great beer there and, yes, you'll enjoy unlimited samples for three hours, but there's also a cigar booth, great food and live music. The bands Brothers Ride and Avión are set to perform at the Sept. 12 event, which runs from 2-5 p.m. on Third Street in front of The Capitol Theatre.

    Brothers Ride

    2:00 - 3:30

Brothers Ride performed at the America On Tap event in Tri-Cities a few months ago to an overwhelming response from the crowd. They were so good, the people with America On Tap had to have them back. To our benefit, they'll be there when it starts.

    Avión

    3:30 - 5:00

Avión began its musical journey in the winter of 2011 in Yakima. Alejandro Ortiz and Jesse Aguirre, started the band, and after a few rehearsals they agreed to invite Raul Vera to play drums. Gaston Perez joined later to add an electric guitar sound that created the style of music you hear today. Edgar Mendez recently joined, bringing vocals and harmonies. Avion’s musical roots are heavily influenced by a fusion of pop, rock, Latin fusion, reggae and soft rock ballads, which makes the band appealing to both mainstream and Latino fans. Avión has participated in music festivals around the state.
