Carrie Underwood may have massive sold-out tours and numerous No. 1 songs to her name but the singer is also just like the rest of us — she eats leftovers!

Underwood recently spent the day with Buzzfeed and showed them a typical workout routine, plus what a usual lunch looks like for her. She's a vegetarian, and when asked if it's difficult to maintain her diet now, having a 2-year-old, Underwood insists it isn't. The struggle comes in resisting the leftovers on her son's plate.

“I feel like one of my biggest problems is not making myself eat his food he doesn’t eat,” she says. “I hate wasting food and I hate wasting water. If I’m going to put it on my plate, I’m going to eat it all. I make enough just for us and I don’t ever want to waste it. I’ll eat leftovers for a week because I hate wasting food."

While Underwood labels herself as a vegetarian, she strikes to eat vegan, but admits cheese is hard to resist. "I’ll have spells where I have no dairy, and I’m good, I’m great, I feel good," the star — who has been touted as having 'country music's best legs' — says. "But it makes me feel bad, too. I don’t know why I do it, but that’s kind of my Kryptonite."

Exercise is at the top of Underwood's list of priorities, and she makes time for a workout daily, even if it's just 30 minutes.  "It’s all about just doing what you can, when you can, and cutting yourself a little slack," she says. "I used to workout six or seven days a week, and now it just doesn’t happen. If I’m not going to be able to do anything because my day is packed, I try to get in a small, thirty-minute workout earlier. And just doing that, I feel good for the rest of my day. Don’t wait ‘til the end."
