At approximately 8:30 this morning, five members of the Yakima Fire Department's Technical Rescue Team assisted the Yakima County Sheriff's Department in rescuing a man trapped and clinging to a screw jack on the Wapato Irrigation/Parker diversion dam just off of Highway 97 near Lateral A in Wapato.
The Moxee Hop Festival was very fun. In fact, it might have been more fun than I have seen in years. People came out in droves despite the smoke we have covering our valley from Canada. Most people just didn't care. They wanted to have fun. And so they did. The parade was even bigger than any other parade in the history of Moxee Hop. Check out photos from the parade.
