Darius Rucker's album Southern Style is set for release on March 31, and the "Homegrown Honey" singer stopped by the Taste of Country Nights studio to chat with host Sam Alex about the record, his favorite songs and his big upcoming tour.

Rucker is so pleased with his album that drops later this month that he can't pick a favorite song! He tries unsuccessfully, but admits it's just impossible.

“I love so many of them," he tells Alex, then naming "Southern Style" and "Good for a Good Time." Adds the star, "There’s just tons of ‘em. I love the whole record … It’s hard to pick one."

Rucker's Southern Style tour coincides with the release — it kicks off on May 14 in New Jersey. The tour is slated to be a big one, with Brett Eldredge, the Brothers Osborne and a Thousand Horses there to support the singer.

“It’s gonna be boys night out, ya know. It’s gonna be a good time. I wanted to put together a show for people — get your money’s worth," Rucker says. "When all those bands said yeah we were so happy. I just can’t wait to get out with those guys and have a good time and play some good music."

Rucker has been in the music business for many years, and he's finally realized the key to success is being yourself. Before leaving the studio, he offered a little advice for others hoping to achieve their goals.

“Just work hard and be yourself," Rucker says. "That’s what I always say to people ‘cause it’s hard to keep those lies going when you’re trying to be somebody else."
