Frankie Ballard has selected "Cigarette" as his newest single from his El Rio album.

"Cigarette" was written by Chris Stapleton, Kip Moore and Jaren Johnston of the Cadillac Three. In the song's chorus, Ballard sings, "I wanna be your cigarette / Smokin' on so cool / Or maybe that red wine / Drinkin' down so smooth / I wanna be the fire / That's takin' you higher / Girl, you can leave me or let me burn / I wanna be your cigarette, cigarette."

The clip, which features shots of Ballard and his band performing the tune in a bright warehouse-type space contrasted with darker shots of a stripper -- the woman seen smoking a cigarette at the beginning and end of the video -- at work, was created to help the singer share the tune prior to El Rio's release in early June.

For El Rio, Ballard and his band left Nashville to record the project, working instead in El Paso, Texas.

“I’ve done a lot of recording in Nashville and other places, but I really wanted to get out and away and try to focus and eliminate some distractions that come from recording in Nashville,” Ballard tells The Boot, “just in an effort to make the music better.”

El Rio is available on iTunes and through Ballard’s official online store. The album's first single was "It All Started With a Beer."
