I wanted to take a moment from the bottom of my heart to say thank you so every single person who has volunteered to protect our Country. Without the brave men and women of our armed forces we wouldn't have the freedoms that we enjoy today and for that I am forever appreciative.

I can't imagine the things that they have seen. The memories and experiences they carry with them and then trying to delve back into regular society after what some have gone through is sometimes a struggle I don't wish on anyone. It always warms my heart when I hear about groups reaching out a hand to those that need it most.

One of the groups I am referring too is run by Cindy Stephens who created Freedom Pantry for Veterans. This is the mission for the 2018 Holiday Season - "Our goal is to help 100 families this year, Veterans and Military families that are in need and we need your help to make this a success. Please consider Donating, Volunteering, being a drop off site, or Corporate sponsorship. Veteran & Military family food insecurity is growing. We now more then ever have to step up and be there for those who have stepped up and been there for our country.

Our shelves are bare and we need to fill them,not only to fill our Holiday baskets but to also have food for our regular food pantry clients who depend on us.  We appreciate any and all donations, 100 %  goes directly to feed our clients.

We have no paid employees , Volunteers only.

How you can help:

Canned chicken, tuna and ham or hearty, ready-to-go meals like beef stew and chili with meat.
Canned vegetables: Potatoes, collard greens, beans, carrots, spinach or peas, all with no salt added
Canned tomatoes & pasta sauce
Shelf stable milk and alternatives (rice, soy, etc.)
juice boxes, applesauce containers, granola bars
For infants: formula, infant cereal, diapers, and wipes
macaroni & cheese
Low-sugar cereal like plain Cheerios
Peanut or other nut butter, especially crunchy
Instant oatmeal, instant grits

Instant Potatoes
Whole grain pasta, brown rice and quinoa
Biscuit or baking mixes (that only require water)
Spices like cinnamon, oregano, basil, salt, pepper
Cooking oil,Stuffing,Flour,Bread

Snacks  are not  immediate need but when there is children, it just brings smiles and we use as stocking stuffers." :)

I love the goal of 100 families but we all know there are more than 100 families so please help me spread the word and let's get every family taken care of this Holiday Season!
