Recyle, reduce, reuse!

That was a saying I heard a lot growing up, and many creative types have taken this mantra to heart and created a band out of old scraps!

Introducing Scrap Arts Music, a truly unique show coming to the Capitol Theatre on Friday, April 26th.

If you haven't heard of them yet, check out the video below.

We are giving away free pairs of tickets to the show so that you can experience this fun concert yourself!

@scrapartsmusic I mean, what do you say when you realize “i Was Wrong”? #inventedinstruments #originalmusicalsound #canadianmusicians #diymusic #childrenofmetropolis #percussion ♬ I Was Wrong - Scrap Arts Music

WHAT DO SCRAP ARTS MUSIC USE AS INSTRUMENTS?

All of their instruments are handmade! They use things like scrap metal, old artillery shells, aluminum scraps, and even old accordion parts and lampshades.

It kind of reminds me of something we see at the Central Washington State Fair at the entry/exit where they have that structure where kids can make a bunch of noise on the cowbells, old pots and pans, and wind chimes.

Except Scrap Arts Music knows how to make it all sound good! HA!

"[Scrap Arts Music has] “upcycled” creations transform[ed] into over 100 unique mobile sculptures capable of exhilarating music."
