Pig Me: Who’s Got The Best Barbecue In The Yakima Valley? [POLL]

Happy National Barbecue Day! How will you be celebrating this special day? I have four PRO TIPS for you, so keep on reading and scrolling!

Some of us will celebrate National Barbecue Day by dining at a fave local barbecue establishment, whilst others will do their own grilling at home. I don’t have enough grilling skills, so I just let the pros do it for me! Maybe you should celebrate by planning a cookout for this weekend! (I just realized that calling it a “cookout” may be my Tennessee Southern roots showing, so feel free to say it the Pacific Northwestern Way, i.e. “We’re having a barbecue, bring some beers” or “We’re going to grill this weekend, you should stop by … and bring some beers.”)

I will probably head over to Famous Dave’s for lunch today, because while I was there for my Mother’s Day dinner, they gave me a coupon for a free lunch! Hayyy! Speaking of free, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is reportedly offering THIS for free today!

If you, however, want to do your own barbecue grilling, remember that barbecue is of course about variety. You have to provide options of pork and, of course, chicken (and/or vegan).

Here are some helpful reminders that I know are tried and true.
PRO TIP #1: You can’t underestimate the importance of seasonings in your barbecue.

PRO TIP #2: You also need to add the right amount of barbecue sauce to your meat. Don’t hold back!

What is your favorite barbecue sauce flavor?

PRO TIP #3: Pig Latin is the official language of National Barbecue Day. You have to say something in Pig Latin at least once today. AAAY HAYY!
