Selah Schools Were on Lockdown Wednesday — Here’s Why

Selah Schools were on lockdown Wednesday because of a threat made on social media.

According to a news release posted to the Selah Police Department Facebook page:

"In substance, a former student of Selah High School, a juvenile male, posted on social media he was considering shooting up a school. The threat was not specific about which school. As a result of the threat, multiple Selah Schools were placed in a lockdown status, until the matter was resolved."
