August 23, 2012 If you plan on going downtown this weekend you should know that Yakima Avenue will be closed as we play host to over 300 basketball teams in the 10th annual Hot Shots Tournament. Opening ceremonies kick of this Sat August 25th at 8AM in the center of downtown. We hope to see you there, and if you need more information click the link below.
I seen and heard that this year will be a record breaker with Basketball teams from all over the Northwest takeover Downtown Yakima. It will be fun for all and if you have to travel through town make sure you use a different route so you can get where you are going on time, Yakima Ave will be block off and turned into basketball courts Friday night through Sunday.
For over 29 years the culture of Yakima expands this time of year. Tonight is start in the Downtown Yakima area and then over the weekend it flows over to Yakima Valley Museum and Franklin Park.
