I admit it, I'm a picture junkie. I take pictures of everything all the time. Whether it's my kids playing at a park or a classic toy I find at a yard sale, I'm snapping a picture, posting it on Facebook, uploading it to Instagram - all that. I don't take pictures of fireworks because they never turn out good for my phone so whatever this guy did to get this shot, he deserves an award for best timed photo.
The 4th of July is almost here and I think in America we sometimes forget that everything comes with a price. We all appreciate and thank the men and women of the armed forces who fight and work 24/7 365 to defend our freedom whenever where ever. The Yakima 4th of July Committee with host a free Independence day celebration at State Fair Park next week. There will be an elaborate Firework display along with a ton of great entertainment. Here is the entertainment lineup.

We are always trying to improve the Free Celebration the happens on the 4th of July at State Fair Park. Every year Zillah hosts their annual communtiy days celebration and this year will be somthing extra special. Come help Zillah celebrate 100 years (1911-2011.) The festivites kick off Friday the 13th (Ooo Scary) with a talent show in Strewart Park followed by a fireworks display starting at 9 PM
After 20 years of growth and change, Yakima’s 4th of July Celebration is going back to basics. The 2011 version of the community party marking the birthday of our nation will feature activities like tug-of-war, sack races, games, and other traditions.
