There were at least a few Tormund Giantsbane fans on edge all throughout Game of Thrones Season 6, particularly as the character faced a deadly battle that could easily have cost multiple fan-favorites. Thankfully, Tormund survived to make sexy bread-eyes at Brienne in Season 7, but Kristofer Hivju is teasing an even more adorable pair for next year.

There’s very little guideline for the remaining Game of Thrones seasons; whether to expect another all-out battle toward the end of Season 7’s truncated run, or if all major conflicts will wrap up before the final White Walker showdown in Season 8. Just a few short hours ago, HBO gave Game of Thrones fans reason to celebrate by confirming Season 6’s April premiere, but the party may not be over just yet. Sources say that HBO will soon renew Game of Thrones for both Seasons 7 and 8, potentially to close out the series.

It seems like only a few short weeks ago, Game of Thrones sent fans into a panic with speculation that Season 6 might end up scheduled for May 2016, rather than its usual April slot, but rest easy.
