Country singer Ronnie Dunn – one half of superduo Brooks & Dunn – talked with Taste of Country a bit last week about musicians that influenced him. Among Dunn’s more interesting recent influences: “I love Harrison’s slide guitar on ‘Something,’” the singer told Taste of Country.
Dunn has of course been impactful in his own wide-ranging way, and the wild diversity of Brooks & Dunn covers on YouTube are a pretty-great sample of his influence. June 8, 2011 The legendary country duo that was Brooks & Dunn "retired" back in 2009, but the famed band's ex-members Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are still keeping busy.
Brooks is working on a new album and filming a western called 'To Kill a Memory' with "Boots On" singer Randy Houser. Dunn has a new album out and a hit single with 'Bleed Red,' and he'll be touring the nation solo for the next few months. We have the Gorge in George, White River Amphitheater, Safeco Field, Qwest field, and my favorite The Yakima Valley Sundome.
