Whether or not you've thought about the mad-cap "game show, but not quite" antics of 'Whose Line is It Anyway' in the last several years, The CW plans to revive the improv comedy series this summer. 'The Talk' and 'Archer' star Aisha Tyler will replace Drew Carey to lead the classic cast of Ryan Styles, Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady and a weekly guest, but does the news have us all asking "who asked for this, anyway?"

In likely the least expected move of The CW's summer programming line-up, the network is returning to comedy with an all-new re-launch of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway!' The CW president Mark Pedowitz announced the news today, reviving a series that began in a U.K. format, before spawning the 1998-2004 ABC series led by comedian Drew Carey.

Moving forward without Carey and placing comedienne Aisha Tyler in the hosting chair, the new 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' will feature the classic lineup of Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie, along with a weekly special guest. The four perform a number of different improvisation games, frequently utilizing audience participation for suggestions of characters, themes and other variables.

Well, what say you? Are you excited to see a new version of 'Whose Line' coming to The CW?
