The Addams Family Musical was a Creepy and Kooky Delight
The Addams Family is one of those stories that comes back into fashion every 10 years or so.
From the early comics and cartoons to growing up with reruns of the original series to the '90s movies to another animated series to Wednesday on Netflix and, yet, a couple of more animated films, you just can't get rid of the Addams'.
They made a stage musical version of The Addams Family which graced our very own Capitol Theatre last night as well as tonight. I brought my kids to see it live and had the best time ever.
The Addams Family Musical Story/Plot
The story of this musical version of The Addams Family takes place a few years into their typical version where Wednesday is now a young adult who falls in love with a normal boy and both of their parents are going to meet for the first time.
Wednesday asks her parents to act normal when they visit while the boy does the same for his parents.
Naturally, chaos and fun ensues in what the entire audience, from children to adults, loved, laughed, and snapped along with an amazing performance by all those involved.

The scenery was a lot of fun, too. They'd do quick scene changes that involved walls full of portraits that would sometimes be inhabited by the ghosts (ensemble) who would assist the story as well.
We had the best time ever and there's still one more performance in Yakima happening tonight at the Capitol Theatre. Tickets are still available or get them at the box office today before the show.
