The price of everything seems to be going up.

It's hard to find lunch for $5 anymore, the cost of every day foods keeps skyrocketing, even our favorite Girl Scout Cookies

The good news is even though the price of everything keeps going up, World's Finest Chocolate is available at ACE Hardware stores right at the check stand and, yes, it's still only $1.

Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, milk chocolate with almonds, ones with caramel in them and ones with crispy rice in them.

All are fantastic and all are only $1.

I buy several and just keep them handy.

These candy bars at Ace also work as a fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network so in helping yourself to the best chocolate in the world, you're also helping our kids and families in need right here in the Yakima Valley.

I mean, it's one thing to call it World's Finest Chocolate but I do love these.

I think a lot comes from nostalgic memories as well.

In the 1980s, us kids would sell chocolate door to door as fundraising efforts. I honestly don't remember what they were raising funds for, but I remember a spokesman for World's Finest Chocolate would come to the classroom, tell us the importance of selling these and we were all treated to one for free.

These guys have been raising funds for decades and the tradition continues on. Although schools have other fundraising now, and they can also sell chocolate, it's nice to see these available right on the counter at Ace and other stores around town (I saw a box for sale at Circle K as well)
