According to Agri-Pulse, this is the first in-person meeting between high-level negotiators since Presidents Trump and Xi met on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit last month.

Lighthizer says the U.S.-China talks to resolve their trade war broke down in early May after China reneged on several major promises, including ag policy that China backtracked on.

**The California Strawberry Commission is issuing a challenge to consumers this summer.

Thepacker.com reports they are asking consumers to take its “Get Snacking Challenge” to inspire them to create, name and share an original strawberry snack of the summer via Instagram using #GetSnackingChallenge.

Each month, a winner and two runners-up will be selected for the best strawberry snack and a chance to advance to the finals and win a $1,000 grand prize.
