Exports accounted for 14% of total U.S. beef production in August.

**In last week’s October World Ag Supply and Demand Estimates report, USDA noted they expect milk production to increase in 2020. Fortunately, they also expect Class III milk prices to push higher next year.

The report states, “Milk production forecasts for 2019 are raised on higher cow numbers and stronger growth in milk per cow.”

According to milkbusiness.com, USDA doesn’t expect imports to increase in 2019 and lowered import expectations for 2020 because of the EU tariffs on dairy products.

**The Almond Board of California has announced that California almond growers recently voted to continue their almond federal marketing order program for five more years.

According to agrimarketing.com, the August vote resulted with 95% of eligible growers who voted, and 97 percent of the volume represented by those voting in the referendum, favoring continuation of the marketing order.

The USDA is required to conduct a continuance referendum every five years.
