Unsurprisingly, WA Tourist Town Makes Best ‘Christmas Towns’ List
Oh, that most wonderful time where we do our best to get in the Christmas spirit. I remember a time when Yakima would decorate all of downtown so just driving to the Yakima Mall seeing the decorations on Yakima Avenue would make you extra Christmassy.
The website travelandleisure.com listed the best Christmas towns across the United States. They have towns from all over listed including a beach town in California, if you can believe that.
Washington State made the list for a town so unique that the streets are packed annually for how it does Christmas.
Do you have any guesses? I bet you're right.
What's the best Christmas Town in Washington State?
Leavenworth.
Of course it's Leavenworth.
If you've never been, even outside of Christmas, it's a neat town with a German feel.
But when it comes to Christmas, they do it big.
It literally feels like you're walking through one of those winter wonderland scenes that your grandma puts together in the living room. It's unreal.
The good news is if you can't make it to Leavenworth you can view their live stream on YouTube.
They gave the best Christmas Town position to Aspen, Colorado. Sure, why not.
I am a little surprised they don't have North Pole, Alaska on this list. I've been there and they even have a Christmas store all year 'round, though maybe they're just talking about towns that change for Christmas, not ones that always feel like Christmas.
