Leavenworth’s Stein Serves Up Quick Bites And Great Vibes
We had some fun in Leavenworth the other day and decided to grab lunch while we were there. In fact, we decided to grab lunch even before we got to Leavenworth as they have so many options for great places to eat.
That lead us to Stein in the Bavarian Village part of Leavenworth.
It was a nice day and they had plenty of outdoor seating. They also had a lot of indoor seating but almost everyone was outside and it was a great day to be outside.
First, drinks.
I got the Stein of a local hazy IPA. One of my kids ordered a draft root beer which, I can't say why, but it just tastes better than root beer out of a bottle or can. My other kid got the mango lemonade or something.
Here's something to know about Stein when you go there to order. Even though they were helping a ton of people, our food came out lightening-fast. Like, we figured we'd get an appetizer and enjoy the weather, then our food would come out after that.

It was so fast we got all of our food first, then our drinks came after.
I grabbed the German poutine which was just fries, melty cheese curds, with a mushroom gravy. It was fantastic.
One of my kids grabbed the mac & cheese bowl topped with apple cider pulled pork which was amazing.
My other kid grabbed a two-meat combo with ribs and sausage.
And, though we got it at the same time, they also had fried cheese curds on the menu so here are those.
All in all, a wonderful time. I'm sure anywhere you eat in Leavenworth is a winner (weiner?) but our trip to Stein was amazingly worth it. They have plenty of other options on the menu, too, that I can't wait to try.
