Being a police officer is a childhood dream for many. Growing up and watching tv shows of police guys being the hero by saving the kids or protecting the innocent, it looked like a good thing to do.
And the older one gets, one can become the change in the community they'd like to see. A great way to do that is by becoming a police officer.
But safe is it being a police officer in Washington compared to other states?
Financial website Wallet Hub ranked every state based a number of things and found that people in Washington State love their officers and ranked themselves in the top 10 states great to be a police officer.
For this list they took into account opportunity and competition, law enforcement training requirements, as well as job hazards and protection ranks.
Washington State ranks in 9th place where it's best to be a police officer compared to all of the other states.

First place goes to California, believe it or not.
And last place, as I know you're curious, belongs to Alaska, followed by Hawaii.
