Blake Shelton’s ‘Turnin’ Me On’ Is About Gwen Stefani and Her Red Lips [Listen]
Blake Shelton wrote a song about Gwen Stefani for his new album, Texoma Shore. The sultry track is called "Turnin' Me On" and is the only song he wrote for the project.
Co-written with Jessi Alexander and Josh Osborne, "Turnin' Me On" has Shelton singing of how Stefani can't stop turning him on with everything she does. "Her kisses taste like whiskey / Burnin' through my veins," he croons at the song's start.
Later, there's a mention of his girlfriend's "Revlon red" lips. Stefani — who became Revlon's global ambassador in January — is well recognized with her signature red lips.

“Knows how to set me on fire / She’s always holdin’ the match / And when my body’s beside hers / There ain’t no turnin’ back / She’s Revlon red in the blackest night / Lighting up the room in the world just like / She’s turnin’ me on,” he sings.
The slow, spicy ballad has Shelton seductively singing of how, "Sometimes I think she must get off / On turnin' me on."
This isn't the first ode Shelton has had to his girlfriend. His latest single, "I'll Name the Dogs," has him suggesting that the two move in together, and the video features Stefani's two oldest sons. The couple previously shared the spotlight during a duet of Shelton's “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” as well as the title track off Stefani's Christmas album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas.
Shelton's new album, Texoma Shore, will be released on Nov. 3.
