Brace Yourself! Colder Weather is Coming to Yakima
Today has been a decent day in Yakima. Not unseasonal, but sun shining with temperatures in the 40s. Lower 40s but 40s all the same. Not too bad.
Today is the last day for about a week when we'll feel the luxury of the 40s as the temps are set to only go as high as the 30s all this coming week.

By next weekend, we should have a day much like today, but it'll be a while.
And the highs for the day for the next couple weeks are looking to be about the same. Temperatures in the mid-upper 30s or lower 40s.
Again, not unseasonal for the Yakima Valley for this time of year, but it's all something to expect as you get ready for the work day.
Hopefully you have some nice socks. Nothing like froze toes to try to get you to walk in a straight line.
Another thing I'm seeing more and more around Yakima are people who are buying those windshield screens to put on their cars overnight to help prevent frost on the windshield. Sure, windshield scrapers are great and work when you need them to.
The other day I had such a thin layer of frost that my windshield scraper went right over it so it was tough to get off my car.
or if you have the option of parking under a tree if you don't have an overhang or garage, that works, too.
