Casey Neistat Surprises Fans At Portland Retro Gaming Expo

Back when YouTube was more of a source to put small clips here and there, Casey Neistat took it further by creating daily videos about a look at his life doing cool stuff.

He was one of the first vloggers before the word 'vlog' was barely a word.

So what's a guy like Casey doing in Portland, Oregon, of all places?

He wasn't on a guest list, he wasn't rumored to be in attendance, he wasn't listed on the website -- nothing like that.

He was at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo helping his friends at the ModRetro booth promoting a new device that plays Nintendo 64 games.

"Is that who I think it is?

I attended the convention as well with my daughter. She came up and said, "I forgot his name, but he's always in the YouTube Rewind videos."

After some quick research, she said it was Casey Neistat.

I was like 'yeah, it's probably just someone who looks like him,' and went back to whatever I was doing until, lo and behold, here comes Casey walking down the aisle.

I scored a quick selfie with him and we chatted briefly.

When I saw he was wearing the shirt from that company that was also in attendance, it all connected together.

I have a feeling we'll see Casey maybe talk about this convention on his channel sometime in the future.

Similarly, the same company had Logan Paul attend a convention in Pasadena, CA, to promote their Game Boy device last year.
