4 ‘Clothing Optional’ Beaches in Washington State and 1 in Oregon
Not that you're looking for a nude beach or anything like that in Washington State. Not that it would even be your sort of thing.
However!
If you are looking for beaches that are considered clothing optional, here are a few options for Washington State as well as one in Oregon that's just a quick drive away.

Are There Nude Beaches in Washington State?
Technically, no.
According to Beach Atlas, Washington does not actually have nude beaches designated as a place where clothing is optional.
However, thanks to Seattle being Seattle where nudity is only illegal if it's obscene, there are a few spots that, where it's not necessarily built as a nudist beach, you might find it more tolerated so long as you're chill about it.
List of Beaches and Parks in Washington where Clothing is Optional
Denny Blaine Park
You'll find Denny Blaine Park on Lake Washington.
Again, it's not officially a nudist beach but people who have been around long enough know that, again, so long as you're cool about it, it's cool.
Howell Park
Not as popular as Denny Blaine Park, Howell Park is a much more quiet spot where clothing is optional, unofficially.
Point Wells Beach
You'll find Point Wells Beach on Puget Sound. This is definitely more of a local spot for locals as it's not the easiest to access but it counts.
Vantage Beach
We'll include Vantage Beach, along the Columbia River, as it was a hot spot for many years but as of 2025 they have been a lot more cracking down on those who aren't wearing clothing. There are still some who may go without, especially much farther away from the bridge. However, keep that in mind.
Officially Recognized Nudist Beach in Oregon
While Washington State doesn't have any official spots, Oregon does and it's not too far away.
Collins Beach, just north of Portland and Vancouver on the Oregon side, is officially recognized as a clothing optional beach.
