Your Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies Have Just Been Recalled in WA, OR, CA
Can you name all of the ingredients in chocolate chip cookies? Chocolate chips along with flour, brown sugar, white sugar maybe, egg, butter, baking soda, baking powder, and wood fragments.
Wait, what?
Though it may add some fiber to your dessert, there's a voluntary recall of a specific brand of chocolate chip cookie dough you should know about as it's one of the more popular brands.
This food recall comes straight from Nestle and their 16.5oz Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar.
Nestle announced this on August 10th with the FDA posting it to the pubic August 11th.
According to the FDA these were made April 24th and 25th and don't effect other Toll House cookie dough products like the famous tubes that I've seen people eat like they're smoked sausages. Usually when I look in a mirror.
From Nestle:
While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, we are taking this action out of an abundance of caution after a small number of consumers contacted Nestlé USA about this issue.
On the side of the package, look for the black strip and look for codes 311457531K and 311557534K. If your numbers match those, take them back for a refund or replacement.
For more info call Nestlé USA at (800) 681-1678 Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. EST or read more on the FDA website.
