It was a day many were looking forward to since they first announced it. Crumbl Cookies opened today for what's called a soft open (which is a great pun since it's a cookie shop). There are people in Yakima who used to drive all the way to Tri-Cities just to check this place out and now it's open right here in town. But at $4.90 per cookie, is it worth the hype?

I'll say it is!

When you first walk in you're greeted by this very clean establishment. You have two options to place your order in-store - at the cash register or at a kiosk where you can select your order and wait to the side.

Six cookies to choose from that rotate every week. This opening included chocolate chip, french silk pie, lemon poppyseed, peanut butter blossom, and caramel popcorn, all served warm. And they had a chilled cookie based on a raspberry cheesecake. When in doubt, order one of each. They also have a 4-way cutter you can get to slice them evenly to share as needed.

These are baked fresh in-house so after a short wait they deliver the cookies to the counter and call out your name. I like that they deliver them with the lid open so you can see that it is, for sure, your order and presented nicely. I love that. They encourage you to see them next week as the menu changes every week. You might find a few staples like chocolate chip go from week to week but the other gimmicked cookies will make appearances every week to give you a reason to keep coming back.

They have options for single, 4, 6 and more. They also have ice cream which I'll have to try next time I'm there.

You can find Crumbl Cookies next to Jamba Juice at Rainier Square in Yakima (off 25th and Nob Hill).

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
