A Washington State duck that had a four inch blow dart removed from its neck is back on the a Longview Lake. City Parks workers released the bird on Monday, four days after it was patched up at Ocean Beach Beterinary Hospital in Longview. Clinic technician, Adriene Myers, told the Daily News it’s a feisty duck that is healing up well and is happy to go home. The duck attracted attention for more than a month as people tried to help it. The duck could still swim and fly and got away and was able to get away until it was finally netted

THE DUCK ATTRACTED ATTENTION FOR MORE THAN A MONTH AS PEOPLE TRIED TO HELP IT. BUT IT COULD STILL SWIM AND FLY, AND IT GOT AWAY UNTIL IT WAS FINALLY NETTED JULY 24 BY PARKS WORKERS.
