Yakima Air Terminal is hosting Aviation Day on Saturday, June 6. This free event is open for anyone to see airplanes, helicopters, and a lot more up close.

This is the third year for Aviation Day and is set to be the best one yet.

Celebrate the Skies with Aviation Day in Yakima

Aviation Day is a celebration of all things aviation, right on the tarmac.

You'll see plenty of airplanes up close, all on the ground so you and your kids can explore them and see everything your curious eye want to see including peeking inside the windows to see the control panels as well as what it looks like inside of a helicopter.

There'll be plenty of different types of airplanes to see as well.

  • P-51D Mustang from Erickson Aircraft Collection
  • Pilatus PC12 from Airlift Northwest
  • Sportsman 2+2
  • More planes will be announced soon as well.

    There'll also be plenty of food trucks as well as a kids zone area with fun crafts and activities.
