Pasco is the other Tri-City.

That's not a knock on Pasco, though it totally sounds like it is. However, when you think of Tri-Cities and you think of the Columbia Center Mall and the Toyota Center in Kennewick. Maybe you think of the Uptown shopping area of Richland and the vineyards they have there. You think of that scenic look of viewing the three cities at once when you make that first exit.

It's around that time you notice Pasco way off into the shadowy distance.

Before I bury myself further, Pasco ain't bad. It's home to an airport with more flight options than Yakima if you prefer flying United or Delta or love those direct flights to Vegas. Pasco is home to Rad-Con, one of the longest running sci-fi and gaming conventions in the United States, and Pasco does have plenty of cool shops and restaurants.

But when it comes to places to retire, would Pasco be a good option to move to?

Forbes thinks so.

Forbes names Pasco as a Great Place to Retire

Forbes released a list of great places to retire. Places include Fargo, ND, Greeneville, SC, Pittsburgh, PA, and plenty more towns. Any of those towns I could agree with. Especially Greenville and Pittsburgh, I love both of those towns.

But Pasco?

Why is Pasco a great place to retire?

According to Forbes, they mention there's a good number of primary care physicians for its population, good air quality (that's assuming our state isn't on fire) crime rate is below the national average and Washington has no state income tax.

I'm not supposed to hate on it, but I think there are other cities in Washington better suited for retirement. But, hey, whatever floats your boat. And you can float that boat down the Columbia River if you live in Pasco.
