Though I often fly out of Yakima for convenience, there are some benefits to flying out of Pasco via PSC.

They have more flight options and more direct destinations than Yakima which is a huge benefit. Especially if you prefer flying Delta or United. And, with Allegiant, you can get direct flights to Las Vegas.

The downside if if you're driving to Tri-Cities, that means you'll need to park your car in their lot for the days you'll be gone. At $12 a day, that will add up quickly.

In lieu of parking at the airport in Tri-Cities, WA, here are a few options that could save you a few bucks.

Instead of parking at PSC, try these options

Park at the Red Lion Inn for less

This is one I learned directly from the staff at Red Lion Inn in Pasco which is right near the airport.

If you stay there, you can leave your car parked there and take the shuttle to the airport and back to your car when you return.

The caveat being that you have to already spend the night there. You can't just take advantage of cheaper parking and their shuttle service, but I stay here when I have to fly out very early so I don't have to wake up even earlier if I'm driving from Yakima to catch a 5 a.m. flight.

Take the Bus

This is a new addition to Ben Franklin Transit that has the bus stopping at the airport. Naturally, you'll have to find another place to park your car but maybe you can find a place for less than $12 a day.

Maybe your travel well and visit PSC sometime in the future. It truly is a great airport.
