If there was any doubt that Funkos, Pokemon Cards, any Star Wars memorabilia wasn't here to stay, the proof that all are still very collectable says otherwise.

No, Funkos are not the new Beanie Babies. Beanie Babies were very popular to a fickle crowd for a short time but even that time was only about 5-6 years. Funkos have been around strong for the past 14+ and continues to grow today.

And don't get fans of the Pokemon franchise started on how important Pokemon card collecting is. I knew people who were collecting in the late '90s and here we are today 25 years later.

And it's never too late to start!

With the popularity and importance of keeping relevant, many comic book shops and video game stores have included items like this as well to bring in new customers and clientele as new ways to draw business.

Reason being, it works.

I just discovered a new store that sells items just like this. If you're a collector or many even casual fan, it may be worth checking out.

These photos were taken with permission at Last Stand Cards & Collectibles inside Glenwood Square at 5110 Tieton Drive in Yakima.

I saw a nice variety of Funkos, Star Wars figures, plenty of cards, and more. It was neat to see what they had.

I loved the helmets as well. The guy behind the counter said they had a Mandalorian helmet but someone bought it during their grand opening which was a few days prior.

This place is brand new. Show some love to a local business and if or someone you know if a fan of these types of items, let them know.
