November of 2000 was the year the Bull signed on the air, beginning what has been a 15-year (and counting!) run by offering Yakima Valley country radio listeners another option for their favorite sounds.

I've been with the station since its inception and basically grew up around here. Going to concerts and events and representing 92.9 the Bull. One of my favorite memories was meeting and hanging out with country music legend George Jones, his wife Nancy (one of the sweetest women on this planet) and his dog Bandit.

Nancy posted on George's official Facebook page that Bandit Jones had passed away on Monday (Nov. 9).

Bandit was very friendly and jumped up on Nancy's lap when I sat down next to her on their tour bus. I can vividly remember George and Nancy sitting on the couch with Bandit and showing us George's latest music video.

A giant TV came down from the ceiling of the tour bus as "50,000 Names" played on the screen. George and Nancy asked us what we thought of the song, and of course we were all very moved by the experience. I will never forget sitting there with the Joneses and Bandit.

R.I.P., Bandit. We know you and The Possum are together now playing in heaven.
