Good Culture brand Cottage Cheese Shortage in WA – The Reason May Disgust You
There's a shortage of the Good Culture brand Cottage Cheese across Washington State and right here in Yakima. I thought it was just my imagination but, as it turns out, it's not just Yakima.

Good Culture brand cottage cheese is getting more and more hard to find in those individual serving sizes.
It's something that shows up on my shopping list if I need to grab a few things on the way home. Milk, eggs, paper towels, and sometimes I'm requested to grab these single serving-sized cups of Good Culture-brand cottage cheese. No other type will do.
It's one that many people enjoy. It's a low-fat, high in protein (14 grams!) cottage cheese. For some reason, they were sold out at one store I visited. No worries, I'll try another... and another, and another, and found I couldn't find any at our usual shops.
Was there a product recall that I wasn't aware of?
Out of curiosity I looked online and found others were experiencing the same dilemma that I was in. Others couldn't find it, either. The single-serving Good Culture cottage cheese. Weird.

There was a food vlogger on TikTok that uses this specific brand mixed with mustard to create a sort of dip for her health foods.
Cottage cheese mixed with mustard... that's one I hadn't heard of.
These dishes she showcases on her TikTok channel are high in protein and high in fiber. Items like fruits, veggies, chicken sausage all with a cottage cheese and mustard dip. Good Culture-brand Cottage Cheese seems to be a popular choice for this.
As more and more people discover this, still in the 'losing weight' mode from the New Year, it seems it has caught on enough for there to be what's basically a shortage.
This is just one theory but if you're experience it in your town, too, this could be the reason.
