Hadestown is a Must-See Musical and It’s In Yakima Tonight Only
The Capitol Theatre has been putting on great shows year after year. As soon as I learned about Hadestown, it was one show I was hoping would come to the Captiol Theatre and, sure enough, the night finally happened.
Hadestown was a mainstay in New York and has traveled before to places like Seattle and Portland that often get touring versions of big, popular musicals.
If you're not familiar with the story of Hadestown, without spoiling too much, is a love story of Greek mythology set in a kind of modern-era with Orpheus and Euridice. In that story Orpheus basically walks to hell to bring Euridice back to the surface. Combine that with a kind of jazzy 'New Orleans'-style music twist and you have a great time with a great show.
The touring set for Hadestown is the perfect size for Capitol Theatre.
Hadestown was in Yakima for two nights only. I caught the first night and I'm glad I did.
The staging was fantastic, the talent on stage were wonderful, everything was such a great time.
I loved hearing the entire audience laugh and gasp at certain points of the show. There's nothing like live theater and the place to take it all in is always the Capitol Theatre.
Don't miss this 2nd and final night as after tonight they're moving to the next town.
Grab your tickets for Hadestown directly from the box office or on the official Capitol Theatre website.
