IKE Alumni and YSD Youth are Invited to Audition for ‘The Music Man’ at IKE

One of the highlights of any local school is the high school musical.

Some of the best talent in Washington comes from our local schools and they do a great job every year.

These high school productions not only include the students on stage singing, acting, and dancing but also our high school students playing live in the band and orchestra pit.

The students also act as stage crew with a quick change of scenes, lighting, and everything. There's so much going on that involve so many people for a full production. They even help build the sets.

One thing Eisenhower High School in Yakima is doing this year is a little different than most high school musicals. They're inviting the entire town to audition.

Not only will this year's musical, The Music Man, headline our students from Eisenhower, but will be inviting local children from kindergarten through 8th grade, local area high schools that don't offer a musical theatre program, home school students and even Eisenhower alumni and community members are invited to audition.

The production is happening on stage at the IKE auditorim in late March 2025. It's a lot closer than you'd think so auditions are happening soon. Don't wait!

Auditions for this show happen on December 4 and 5 for Eisenhower students as well as home school and local area high school students if that high school doesn't have a musical theater program.

If you're from Kinder through 8th grade you can audition at Ike on December 10

Ike Alumni are welcome to audition December 16.
