Is a Pumpkin a Fruit or Vegetable?

During our contest "What's in Michele Mathews Cowgirl Bling Purse" you have the chance to ask 2 yes or no questions and then give an answer. The thing in my purse yesterday was a pumpkin and one of the questions was is it a fruit or vegetable? I have never even thought about whether a pumpkin was a fruit or vegetable.

So ... like every person who doesn't know something ... I googled it. Wikipedia says that it's a fruit.
