YWCA Yakima’s 30th Annual Leadership Luncheon Brings Former Seahawk Jermaine Kearse
An important annual fund-raiser is happening this May that you won't want to miss, especially if you're a Seattle Seahawks fan!
The 2024 YWCA Yakima Leadership Luncheon brings together countless community leaders, local businesses, and government representatives each year in support of women and girls in our community.
YWCA Yakima is Yakima County's largest provider of domestic violence services and houses the only womens' domestic violence shelter in the county. They operate a 24-hour phone helpline, emergency shelter, and manage transitional housing units for local DV victims.
YWCA Yakima also offer legal advocacy for its clients. It's mission includes striving to eliminate racism and empower women that are living in Yakima County and who are facing emergency domestic violence situations.
YWCA Yakima Leadership Luncheon Guest Speaker: Seattle Seahawks Player, Jermaine Kearse
Jermaine Kearse is a former University of Washington wide receiver who remained in Seattle when he was signed to play for the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. He appeared in two Super Bowls during his time with the 'Hawks and was a key part of the Super Bowl XLVIII Championship team.
After retiring from the NFL in 2020, Jermaine co-founded the Evergreen Golf Club and the Future Fairways Foundation, with the goal break down barriers, creating inclusivity, and building bridges for junior golfers and families.
HOW TO GET TICKETS TO THE YWCA YAKIMA LEADERSHIP LUNCHEON
This year's event will be held at the Yakima Convention Center on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at noon. Attendees will get to hear from Jermaine Kearse and support the YWCA. Tickets to the luncheon are now available. Funds raised help YWCA Yakima continue to provide and expand programs and improve health and safety for women, children, and families.
