Washington has the most expensive cities in the whole country when it comes to takeout dining, with another ranking in the Top 10. Which cities are we talking about, and where does Washington as a whole fit in when it comes to spending more for eating out? We have the breakdown below.

Washingtonians Love Eating Out

My wife and I enjoy eating out for dinner. Probably a lot more than we should for our health and wallet’s sake. But when it comes to getting food to bring back home (whether we pick it up or pay for a delivery), that is a practice we don’t do too often. At least not since the pandemic, and looking at these numbers, I can see why.

In a recent study from NetCredit, looking at the different prices for fast food chains as well as GrubHub and ranking 260 different cities, and finding the average, we can safely say that Seattle is the most expensive city in the U.S. when it comes to taking out food.

Seattle Takes the #1 Spot for Costliest Takeout in America

 

In fact, according to their numbers, the average Seattle takeout cost is 29% higher than the national average.

While Seattle claims the top spot, Bellevue is still pretty high, ranking in at #9 in the whole country, and Washington as a whole is the 3rd most expensive state in the study.
