Will High Roller Uno come to Yakima Valley casinos? Man, I sure hope so. Keep reading to find out all that we know, and keep your fingers crossed that the powers that be, don't reverse their decision to spread America's favorite game throughout casinos across the country.

Uno was the first game I ever learned to play. Even before Go Fish. My parents felt that the game helped teach numbers and colors.

Whereas my older brother knew it could teach strategy and how to have patience for the perfect time to deal revenge on that green draw two by slamming down the following card combination one right after another:

hands holding color game cards.

  • Wild Card for the win!

My brother beat me many times with that type of final card game attack. When we played, it was by 'House Rules' and it was our house, and our rules.

The Unofficial UNO House Rules My Yakima Family Played By

1: When only two people are playing, you can lay a draw two, reverse, skip, draw 4, and you can bombard your opponent.

2: If you don't have a card that can be played, you draw from the pile, and you keep drawing until you get a card that CAN be used. There were times when we'd have half the deck in our hand.

3: If you played your 2nd to last card, you had until your finger stopped touching the card to say 'UNO'. If you removed your hand and someone beat you to it, you had to draw 7 cards.

4: If more than 2 people are playing, it wasn't uncommon to try to build alliances, and usually destroy them shortly after.

To be honest, I'm not sure what the technical rules are, but talking to many people, it seems like we all have some variation of rules that we play by.

Will they have classic set of rules or go with the 2025 official rules (video above) or will they make something brand new for the gambling aspect, or is it even that type of game at all?

The Details Of The Las Vegas Uno Social Club

Debuting at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, is the first-ever UNO Social Club, and Mattel Inc. is planning on launching the new club nationwide.

"We created UNO Social Clubs to reimagine what game night can be — bringing people together for real-world fun, connection, and a bit of friendly competition."
- Ray Adler VP at Mattel

The Official details, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal, are that it's a contest that people enter using TikTok and Mattel's new Uno Reverse card filter with the hashtags #UnoSocialClub and #MattelContest. The winner will get to stay in a UNO-themed hotel suite.

Could UNO Become the Next Big Table Game in Yakima?

What I (and many others) hope is that this could turn into a type of table game like Black Jack or Five Card Draw/Stud. I would love to see that type of table on the floor of Yakima Valley staples like Legends Casino Hotel, Casino Caribbean, or the Nob Hill Casino.

Fingers crossed that if this goes well, Mattel may just roll the dice on letting us gamble on UNO, but not any time soon, at least according to a Facebook post:
