We asked, and you answered, and now the whole world will know which is the fan favorite when it comes to the most popular place to get a craft beer in Yakima Valley. We’ll let you know how this discussion came about and what our audience decided below.

Drinks With The Boys!

My friends always flip me crap because I’m not a beer drinker. I’m what some call a b****. I don’t mind the fruity drinks and mixers, and when it comes to hard alcohol, I hold my own, but the conversation arose about the best places to get a drink.

We all chimed in with our favorites, Bron Yr Aur Brewing out in Naches, The Outskirts Brewing Company and Selah Springs Brewing Co (in Selah), 5th Line Brewing in Yakima, and so many other places were mentioned.

We Asked Our Yakima Valley Beer Drinking Audience

That gave me the thought to ask our listening (and reading) Yakima Valley audience. Sure, you could rely on Google and Yelp reviews, but why not go to our ‘bread and butter’ about where they wet their whistles.

The response we got on social media and through our Station Apps was impressive, and once everything was tallied up, around 20 places were mentioned by Brewing Aficionados, with 3 local spots able to claim the top prize of being a Yakima Valley favorite.

Varietal Beer Company in Sunnyside and Bale Breaker Brewing Company off of Birchfield Road in Yakima were neck and neck, ending in a tie for second/third place.

But when the suds popped, there was a clear fan favorite, and that is the fine folks at Cowiche Creek Brewing Company in Cowiche.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
