It might not seem like it's been a cold October but last month, Kennewick, Yakima, and Pendleton broke previous records of coldest temperature readings on record.

Kennewick's average temperature was about 40 which is 13 degrees lower than their normal.

Yakima wasn't as exciting temperature-wise as Kennewick at 44 average daily temps and was on average 3 degrees cooler breaking the records.

Pendleton also had the coldest daily temperature on record for them with average temps at 46 degrees which was 5 degrees cooler than their average.

Walla Walla did it's best but it was only the second coldest October on record for them.

Looking ahead, it appears November will actually be 3 degrees warmer than normal so it looks like breaking another record will be tough.
