Yakima’s Black Angus Steakhouse To Close Feb. 27
The ending of a lease means the end of the road for a Yakima steakhouse after 46 years in business.
It's hard to imagine Yakima without Black Angus Steakhouse, but it looks like the end of an era. We all remember those classic commercials growing up in the Northwest, but apparently a lease renewal isn't in the cards for the restaurant at 501 N Front St. The Yakima location opened in 1970.
Black Angus was established in Seattle in the early '60s by Stuart Anderson and after selling the chain, remained a big part of the company as its spokesman. I always loved the Black Angus commercials when I was a kid.
Black Angus' final day is Feb. 27.
