Per capita consumption also is expected to more than double in Asia and Africa. That’s why the National Academy of Sciences is recommending four areas of focus for animal science research - to help the industry meet this growing global demand for protein.

The report is sponsored by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, National Pork Board, USDA and more.
