FDA has issued a voluntary recall on the Spring and Mulberry on the 2.1 oz Mint Leaf Date Sweetened Chocolate Bar.
These may have been purchased online but can be sold in store that have a fancy chocolate section like a Nordstrom's.
These chocolate bars are a 'no sugar added' style of chocolate bar that are better for you.
They have a familiar sold color label (green, in this case) with giant Spring & Mulberry text on label as seen in this page from the ordering part of their website.
Reason for Chocolate Recall
The FDA is recalling this specific chocolate due to possible salmonella contamination.
Salmonella could be very dangerous and even fatal in some cases.
Salmonella to a typically healthy person can still cause some serious damage including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and more. It could even get into your bloodstream and cause even more chaos to your body.
If you're a child, elderly, or have a weak immune system it could go on to be fatal.
So far, fortunately, no illness has been reported.
If you purchased this specific chocolate bar since September 15, 2025 from Lot #025255 you're advised to return it or toss it just to be safe.
More details including how to return it can be found on the FDA page.
