More Things to Do with the Kids This Holiday Weekend (Part 2)
If you have some small-ish kids at home this weekend then you'll be needing some ideas of what to do with them to keep them from being bored. I have made a list of the top 4 things I recommend and you can see part one of the suggestions here.

The 4th of July holiday weekend means more hours of figuring out some family activities that won't keep you out in the heat too much or at least will offer some relief in the form of water play or getting on rides at the fair. Here are two other options you can try with the kids this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
1. Toppenish Rodeo: If you missed going to the Rodeo on Friday night, have no fear, it returns to the Toppenish Rodeo Grounds on Saturday, too. Tickets are pretty cheap, so that's a relief. There's a pancake breakfast at the Rodeo Saturday morning at 7 a.m., followed by a parade at 11 a.m. If you miss the parade, y'all can catch the rodeo beginning at 5 p.m. Kids of all ages will enjoy the Mutton Busting competition (featuring little kids riding on sheep) starting around 7 o'clock in the evening, then stick around for the rodeo action.
2. 4th of July Fireworks Show at State Fair Park: Pile up the kids in the car and head over to State Fair park to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July. They should start around 10 p.m. but you know how these things go, sometimes they get started a few minutes early or a few minutes late. There should be some food vendors on site if you all want to get some fair food, as well as a water tunnel to keep the kids happy in the heat whilst we await the big firecracker show! Bring your own lawn chairs and a blanket to sit on!
