Portland Suffering from an Unusual ‘Winter Storm Warning’
Portland, Oregon.
The town where people don't often use sprinklers because they get so much rain.

Well, they're going through a winter storm warning. Not an unlikely time of year, but Portland rarely gets storm warnings like this so this could be bad news for the people who are trying to Keep Portland Weird.
The weather is showing some unusual weather patterns that aren't uncommon for us but for those who live in Portland it may be something they're not quite used to.
A wintry mix this evening will transition to mainly snow overnight. Low 28F. Winds ENE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precip 80%. Snow and ice accumulating 1 to 3 inches.
With all the hills and bridges and everything else Portland has, especially being so close to the water, these are dangerous conditions for our friends in Oregon.
Friday is looking like more snow showers in the morning but will get above freezing temperatures with highs in the lower 40s so that could help in some way.
Portland and its surrounding area is also known for his mass of trees and conditions like this could cause ice to form on trees as well as power lines making it extra dangerous.
And if you're driving in it, don't. Well, try not to. With conditions like this and how bridges become more of a hazard in wintery conditions it could cause for chaos.
This Winter Storm Warning for Portland is slated to late through Friday at 10 a.m. and hopefully it won't be extended.
