Jersey Mike's Subs has, as of writing this, 2,449 stores across the United States. Probably 2,500 at the rate they're opening stores. None of those locations are in Yakima. At least, not yet.

With several locations in Washington state, the closest location we have Richland as well as one in Kennewick and Pasco. Even Enumclaw has a Jersey Mike's Subs.

Enumclaw?!

And not Yakima?

Well, good on them. Here's hoping we get one soon.

Our friends at Hogback Development Company posted a simple photo on Facebook that had some thinking we may get one.

They didn't deny anything but they, neither, confirmed anything as well.

Hogback isn't just Yakima, either. They have projects going on in Tri-Cities, Moses Lake and other surrounding areas so maybe they were enjoying a sub from Jersey Mike's at an already existing location in Tri-Cities.

Or maybe they're just teasing for fun like they had done with Trader Joe's in the past. A cruel joke to get our hopes up but you could also see right through their ruse as many did. It may have been on April 1st, I don't remember.

It would be nice if Yakima had a Jersey Mike's Subs. We have a few sandwich options here in town but would always be welcome to more. Jersey Mike's offers both hot and cold subs, they offer catering, they have a kid's menu and they have, what looks like, a great Philly Cheesesteak as seen from the photo from Hogback Development Company. They'd be very welcome in Yakima.

Here's hoping the tease turns out to be a reality.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
